Biography

Linda Ursin, J.D., CLU is an ERISA attorney who has worked in the field of pension law for two major insurance companies and a well-known consulting firm prior to opening her law practice in 2005. She uses her extensive knowledge of pension and divorce law to help her clients achieve successful outcomes. In the highly regulated and complex field of pension law she is meticulous, thinks strategically and works diligently to deliver an exceptional work product. She is trained in Collaborative Divorce, works in prejudgment mediation and provides analysis to family law attorneys in litigated matters.

Linda has an extensive background in qualified pension benefits, including federal, state and municipal plans, military plans, and ERISA pension plans, 401(k), 403(b) and 457 retirement accounts, as well as nonqualified pensions and deferred compensation arrangements for highly compensated individuals. She also has an extensive background in Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), reviewing QDROs for employers and drafting and filing QDROs for clients in their divorce.

She has conducted numerous seminars and webinars for the Connecticut Bar Association, local bar associations, Collaborative Divorce Professionals, Association of Divorce Financial Planners and the National Business Institute (NBI).

Linda is admitted to the Connecticut Bar and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the Middlesex County Bar Association and Collaborative Divorce Professionals.
