Affordable QDROs.

QDROs are typically a necessary part of a divorce and we understand the need to provide affordable QDRO preparation. In addition to rolling over the QDRO funds to save for retirement, often the parties rely on the funds from the QDRO(s) to pay off marital debt, pay out home equity from one spouse to the other or to use as down payment for a new home. That is why it is important to find an affordable CT QDRO attorney. However, it is equally important to hire a skilled CT QDRO attorney to prepare the QDRO(s) to avoid losing valuable benefits. We charge a flat rate for QDRO preparation so that the parties do not incur costly fees for hourly rates. Where possible, we try to aggregate benefits to reduce the number of QDROs required.

Our fee to prepare and submit a QDRO is $800.00 for the first QDRO and $700.00 for each additional QDRO. The fee includes preparing the QDRO, obtaining preapproval from the Plan Administrator, sending it to the parties’ for signatures, filing it with the court for a court certified order and submitting the court-certified order to the Plan Administrator for formal approval and processing. The QDRO fee does not include the court fee for obtaining a certified copy of the parties’ Judgment File if the Plan requires it.
